Stalled Projects

 Stalled Projects

When making portfolio websites, it’s easy to seem like we have everything together, all the time. That it always works out, and every project is a resounding success. But that’s not always the case. The process of creating is almost as important, to me, as the final project. With this page, I’m hoping to reflect on some of the projects I started that didn’t quite turn out how I initially envisioned.

Audiencematic

Audiencematic was a startup idea born of the need to keep a live comedy show running during the pandemic. We ran into so many frustrations with Zoom, that I started building out a platform to make the who process easier on the back end to control and integrate into a live-to-tape production.

The backend of the audience feed mixer.

A common theme with these projects seems to be that I bite off more than I can chew. I still think it would have worked eventually, but as it turned out, most of the world had an appetite to end remote entertainment faster than anyone really hoped.
